These courses give individuals practical skills and confidence to support mental wellness in everyday life and at work.

You don't need to be part of a large organisation to access high-quality mental wellbeing training.

Our regular monthly open courses are designed for individuals and you'll receive the same practical, expert-led training, the same high standards and the same ongoing support as participants on our dedicated workplace courses.

Our First Responder Courses cover the following:

​

  • Understanding mental health and factors that affect wellbeing

  • Recognising changes and signs of psychological distress

  • Using the CARE framework to guide supportive conversations

  • Listening, responding and communicating without judgement

  • Asking clearly about immediate safety and suicide when necessary

  • Responding appropriately to crisis or urgent concerns

  • Encouraging professional help and responsible signposting

  • Confidentiality, healthy boundaries and the limits of the role

  • Supporting recovery without taking responsibility for it

  • Practical scenarios and realistic conversation practice

  • Protecting your own wellbeing while supporting others

 

Our Mental Health Awareness Courses cover the following:

  • Recognising common signs that someone may be struggling

  • Stress, pressure and the Stress Bucket

  • Starting a supportive conversation

  • Listening without judgement

  • Healthy boundaries and responsible signposting
